Video Paintings

Video Paintings are similiar to Lumiere Films in that they use a fixed frame, no edit or effects, and are silent. However, unlike Lumiere Films, Video Paintings have an extended longer duration of at least 3 minutes. Video Paintings are designed to loop, so denying beginnings and endings, establishing a different relationship with the observer. The viewer of a Video painting has a relationship with the work more akin to that of traditional painting - they control their own temporal access to the work, and are encouraged to start and stop watching at any point.
